Alongside my academic career, I have remained actively involved in the persuasion industries—first as a writer, then as a creative director with agencies including All Media Projects and Hernandez/Foote, Cone & Belding (FCB). I later worked as a consultant to a diverse range of clients. My professional experience spans industries such as finance, healthcare, manufacturing, training, and tourism, and includes markets from North to South America. Through both my research and classroom practice, I focus on affordable learning and on broadening access to advertising education and professional practice.

Over the years I've worked on advertising campaigns for Fortune 500 companies, and multinational, global corporations. Among them: Harvard Business Publishing, Nestlé, Nabisco, GTECH Latin America, Dale Carnegie Training, and AchieveGlobal. I've also worked with non-profits and community-based organizations.
